Work and work alone

The past week hasn't been an easy one for me. I have been busy with lesson planning, designing worksheets, marking, etc. Everything else seems to have taken a backseat. In the classroom, I struggle to strike a balance between being tough and gentle. Truth be told, being 'tough' is not something that comes naturally to me but I understand the need to enforce discipline so that there will be some semblance of orderliness in the classroom. Right now, the stress of the entire week is weighing me down. The inital sense of euphoria I experienced two weeks ago has quickly been replaced by feelings of weariness. Suddenly, I feel so tired of running this race...
